J.Crew Haul + ootd

Why hello there Lovelys,

First haul of the blog.... woot woot! This isn't one massive J.Crew purchase, but split into two transactions instead. I ordered these online and they have a $9.95 flat rate shipping. There are 3 J.Crew locations in Canada: Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto. If you have any doubt about their sizing (because they tend to fit larger than your normal size), you could check the sizing at those location!

Leggo !

Blythe blouse in silk
  • Item #: 37871
  • Size: 00
  • Price: $114 (on sale right now $92)
  • Review: I love love the colour. The pictures don't do the justice. Must have item from J.Crew!
Silk Blouse

  • Item #: n/a
  • Size: 2 petite
  • Price: ~$70?(I forgot since it's not on the site)
  • Review: This is a petite size and it still fits big but what's difference between this blouse and the bly blouse? This blouse has no pockets, the collar is bigger, and the hem line is shorter.
Cotton V-neck sweater in neon stripe
  • Item #: 75130
  • Size: xs
  • Price: $34.99
  • Review: It's neon alright! I didn't expect it too be that bright because in the picture, it looks like a light yellow. Not in love with the fit.
 Jackie cardigan
  • Item #: 29350
  • Size: xs
  • Price: $80
  • Review: Meh... nothing really special about this cardigan other than the buttons are a tad nicer than your usual white cardigans. I would personally wait for this to go on sale to get it.
Schoolboy blazer in navy
  • Item #: 28233
  • Price: $230
  • Size: 00
  • Review:  I love this blazer. It fits amazing and it's made out of wool so it's very warm. The price is a bit steep, but you won't regret it !
Ankle stretch toothpick jean in classic rinse wash

  •  Item #: 46240
  • Size: 25
  • Price: $146
  • Review: Unfortunately these jeans don't fit as nicely on me as I would like them to fit, but then again I have a weird bottom portion. I have hips but skinny legs, so there's a lot of extra material. A co-worker of mine asked me what size I was wearing and she said it looked too big on me. Nonetheless, I love the wash and it feels really comfortable.
 Mona leather pumps

  • Item #: 46785
  • Size: 7
  • Price: 162.99
  • Review: I can't give a review yet because I haven't worn them for long hours yet. The colour online is WAY different compared to real life.

ootd ^_^

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush- Pink Frosting 10

Loves,

I  found a blush hiding in the back of my make-up drawer , but the dream mousse blushes are discontinued. This blush has an interesting concept.. it's a mousse textured.

Ratings:

Packaging: I love the packaging. It comes with a glass jar and on the lid, it prints the colour of the blush so it's easier to find the shades. I read that gel/cream make-up products in glass jars last longer and I can voucher that to be true because I think I had this since 2 years ago? I know it's probably gross to have make-up 2 years ago but the product itself is still amazing !

Pigmentation: It's has a good pigmentation. Pink Frosting is a 'girly pink', as in it's a very bright baby pink.

Texture: Very soft and creamy. There are tiny speckles of glitters in it, so if you're looking for a matte blush, this is not for you because it definitely shows up on the skin (even though my camera couldn't pick up the glitters). It's best to apply with your fingers, as the warmth of your fingers will warm up the product for an easier application. You do have to work fast with this blush or else it drys on the skin quickly.

Stay Power: It probably last around 5 hours before it starts to fade; however, if you use it as a base and set another blush on top of it, it can last up to 9 hours.
5.75 g You get a  lot of product for the price of it

uhh.. the texture looks disgusting here LOL

This is a light swatch

11 facts about me:

1)     If I were to think on the top of my head one food I don't like, it'd have to be bean sprouts. Whenever my family and I go out to eat in a Vietnamese restaurant and there's bean sprouts in my bowl/plate, I'd pick it out one by one.

3)     I am an introvert and can sometimes be very anxious when there is a large group of people present.

4)     I used to be deathly afraid of dogs, to a point where I would climb onto my dad or mom whenever I saw one. Of course, this was when I was younger, but now I love love love dogs. I sometimes even squeal when I see one.

5)     However, I'm scared of cats and squirrels. They move so fast and swiftly, and because of that, I feel like they're going to jump out of nowhere and rip my face apart. LOL

6)     I've dyed my hair all shades of colour from pink to blue to green. Ever since I was 9 years old, I've never had solid black hair. It's always dyed some sort of colour,

7)     My feet are quite long and slender for a girl my height. I'm 5"2 and have size 7 feet.

8)     People my age usually would have a smartphone, but I don't. I use an old school Sony Ericsson phone (the pink one that slides up haha)

9)     I have uneven eyelids. One is double folded while the other is single folded.

10)   I don't wear make-up on the daily basis because I'm way too lazy for that. I wear it when I go to work or shopping.

11)   When I was 4, I cut my own hair and was about to cut my dad's hair too until he woke up hehe

Rimmel lasting finish intense wear- Nude Delight and Rose Passion

Ello,

This is my first time buying lipsticks. I had no idea what I was looking for, and so I thought maybe I would buy a nude colour first.Instead, I bought a bright red and thought the colour pay off was gorgeous so I went to go buy a nude.

Ratings:

Livability: Hm, Red Passion does come off when you eat or drink, but not so much with the Nude Delight. Do watch out when you're wearing Red Passion

Odour: Omg lol, this smells like grandma's perfume. I know I like to compare odour to grandma's things hehe.. Anyways, you can definitely smell it even after you apply it, so I don't know if that would bother anyone, but just for a warning, yes, it does smell weird.

Packaging: Cute packaging with a crown on the lid.

Pigmentation: Very good pigmentation and the colour pay off is very vibrant.

Texture: Creamy texture and glides smoothly.

Nude Delight has an orange undertone and Red Passion is straight up red

Overall: Two very different looks but I don't like the Nude Delight because it's way too orange on my skin tone and totally washes me out.

The Face Shop- Lovely ME:EX Cushion Blusher Vivid Peach 05

Hello hello,

This is my first time ever buying blush cause I have very pink undertone and without blush, it looks as if I'm already blushing ><" Nonetheless I wanted to try out a peach coloured blush.

Ratings:

Odour: I can't really describe the odour, but it smells nice, like flowers. Not an overpowering scent though.

Packaging: The packaging is super cute! It's 0.7g, very small and compact- great for traveling. It comes with a 'cushion' (haha) that you can use to apply the product with.

Pigmentation: The colour pay-off isn't that good. It's very light and the colour barely shows up on the skin, so I think this blush is good for people who are just 'blush-starters.' With this blush it's very hard to over-apply. Have you lovelys seen girls who over apply their blush? EKKKK disaster !!

Texture: When I swatch the product onto my hands, it looks very chalky(appearance wise), but I noticed that when I apply it onto my cheeks, it's not chalky...If you take the product and rub it against two of your fingers, you will notice that it's very fine and smooth.  This is a matte blush, there is absolutely no shimmer to it.

Addition information: Made in Korea. Comes in four other colours : Romantic Pink (01), Sexy Orange (02), Pure Lavender (03), and Baby Pink (04).

Vivid Peach

Swatch & true to colour
Overall: 3.0/5 (because I wish the colour pay-off was better)

Urban Decay Melt Down Makeup Remover

Hey Loves,

I've never bought makeup remover before, so this is my first time buying it! (I usually just use regular facial cleanser). I got this at Sephora awhile back when they had the 15% off promotion. This stuff is quite pricey! Note that this is an eye makeup remover.

Ratings:

Effectiveness: Non-irritating, gentle, and removes most of the makeup off, including waterproof mascara, and eyeliner. It does leave ever so hint of make-up left, but you can easily clean it up with a q-tip.

Odour: The first time I used this, I was taken back by the odour. The scent smells like grandma's foot cream or something. It was very disturbing and I was going to return it because of the smell, but then I got used to the smell afterwards so the scent doesn't bother me anymore.

Packaging: I like squeeze tube packaging because that way you can easily squeeze even the last drop of product- I believe.Good for traveling.

Texture: Creamy, ideal for those with drier/ combination skin. Non-greasy so no need to wash your face after you use it, in fact, the ingredients list that there are cranberry and raspberry seed oils, along with kukui nut and oat oil to help moisturize and replenish the skin.

Before you buy this remover, I suggest you smelling the product because most people will not be able to handle the scent.
Overall: 3.8/5 (Most of the points is taken off because of the scent)

Skin Food Red Bean BB Cream spf 20+ in no.1 light beige

Ello ello !

I finally got to try my very first BB cream ! I've been meaning to try BB creams, but I couldn't get my hands on them until I found a FB shop that sold them. The FB shop orders massive amounts from a supplier so they can get it at a cheaper price. Anyways, I choose Skin Food as my first BB cream because Skin Food uses organic or "original form" as their ingredients.

Red Bean BB Cream spf 20 pa+: A hydrating BB cream with red beans that nourishes and moisturizes rough skin while providing natural yet flawless coverage even when applied in a thin layer.

Ratings:

Coverage/ Pigmentation: Medium coverage and the colour matches my skin fairly well. For reference I'm no. 125 in MUFE foundation.

Livability: Lasted me until the end of the day which was 9 hours and it still looked flawless, but then again I set it with power.

Odour: It smells like flowers but after the application, there is no more odour to it.

Packaging: Standard squeeze tube with a simple 'organic' design.

Texture: Light and feels very nice on the skin. I sometimes have rough patches on my skin and this went over it pretty well. It didn't feel gross on my face :) !
The organic packaging

Additional information: Apply the cream onto the face in an upward and outward motion. Made in Korea.
45ml.

Overall: 4.8/5 I'd say this is way better than the Lancome bienfait multi-vital teinte that costs around 2 times as much!

Physicians Formula Eyeliner Trio - Brown Eyes

Hey Loves,

Okay, so in the previous post I said I was on the hunt to look for a smudge-proof eyeliner... I've found it ! It's the Physicians Formula Eyeliner Trio. It comes in three colours: black, brown, and purple. These products are so convenient because it comes with a sharper (located at the top) !

Ratings:

Pigmentation: The colours aren't as pigmented and dark as I would like it to be, but nonetheless it's  not too bad.

Packaging: It's twistable and as said before there's a sharper built in in each pencil. Also, what I like about it is that the product doesn't break off when you sharpen it... unlike the Maybelline one....>: (

Staying on power: SMUDGE-PROOF and last all day !

Texture: It's definitely not as creamy but it doesn't tug.

Additional information: Hypoallergenic, frangrance free, safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wears, paraben free

Violet, brown, and black
